Improving Speaking Skills through Providing Sentence Starters and Incorporating Images

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted based on an internship of teaching two English Enrichment classes, involving 25 students Grade 7 in Sekolah Kallista to determine the effectiveness Providing Sentence Starters and Incorporating Images activities as a part Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method. The research organised through several procedures, such designing, implementing, observing, analysing, presenting. instruments used were observation, pre-test, post-test. both classes first observed then involved series implementation, post-test so that their improvements could be measured properly using rubric assessed fluency, pronunciation accent, vocabulary, grammar, content organisation development, duration speech aspects speaking skills. Results showed scores increased from pre-test scores, proofing implementation effective supporting students' improving skills, well providing them with enjoyable atmosphere learning allowing express creativity throughout lesson .
